## WHAT THE EVIDENCE SAYS

An ILRI evidence-to-policy brief reviews a decade of Kenyan One Health research and partnerships and links that work to three national policy products: an anthrax control strategy, a human brucellosis testing strategy and a Rift Valley fever contingency plan. The emphasis is on the institutional work required to move evidence through agencies and into operational guidance.

## WHY IT MATTERS / OUR READ

Disease science does not become public policy automatically. The case is useful because it treats translation capacity—long-term relationships, cross-sector institutions and decision timing—as part of the evidence system rather than as communication added after research is finished.

## CAVEATS / UNCERTAINTY

This is an institutional retrospective from an organization involved in the work, not an independent causal evaluation of policy effectiveness. The existence of a strategy does not demonstrate implementation quality or improved disease outcomes.
