Evidence

Peer-reviewed underwater camera field survey

Geography

Northern European offshore wind farm

System

Offshore wind / demersal fish

## WHAT THE EVIDENCE SAYS

Baited video and spatial models estimated roughly 1.5–1.6 times the demersal fish abundance/biomass at 30 metres versus 240 metres from jacket foundations, including haddock and flatfish.

## WHY IT MATTERS / OUR READ

An artificial-reef aggregation effect is detectable, but the footprint scale should not be mistaken for a fishery-wide production effect.

## CAVEATS / UNCERTAINTY

A single observational distance gradient cannot separate fish redistribution from new fish production; fishing restrictions and habitat differences may matter.
