Geography

Lagos, Nigeria

System

Urban forestry governance and greenspace maintenance

## WHAT THE EVIDENCE SAYS

A systematic review of 20 studies from 2016–2025 identified uneven green infrastructure access, maintenance gaps and possible links to land administration; it proposes a recurring State of Urban Forestry evidence report.

## WHY IT MATTERS / OUR READ

Pair planting and canopy metrics with land security, maintenance budgets, accessibility and community validation.

## CAVEATS / UNCERTAINTY
