WHAT THE EVIDENCE SAYS
IUCN's September project-closeout reports three years of TA'ZIZ activities around Petra and Shoubak, including ecosystem-restoration work, plant nurseries, nature-based solutions, training and community participation intended to strengthen biodiversity and climate resilience.
WHY IT MATTERS / OUR READ
Institutional implementation evidence matters because conservation success depends on delivery capacity, local participation and maintenance—not only ecological design. The next evidence need is whether the installed actions persist and produce measurable ecological outcomes after project closure.
CAVEATS / UNCERTAINTY
This is the implementing organization's completion report, not an independent impact evaluation. Activity counts, training and restoration outputs should not be treated as evidence that biodiversity or climate-resilience outcomes have already been achieved.
